People Raising

By: William P. Dillon
William P. Dillon shows the reader that missionaries do not fund raise, but that missionaries must people raise. Mr. Dillon uses a fictitious character named Andy who goes through the entire process of determining his belief on support raising and the practical application on how to go about it. Missionaries tend to be their worst enemy when it comes to support raising. They often feel as though they are begging or that support raising is not part of their ministry. Dillon shows that part of ministry is sharing your vision with others. The last half of his book is a step by step process of not only how his ministry does people raising, but a suggestive hint on how all missionaries and ministries should support raise The book tends to be aggressive towards the end with how a person should find partners and may seem a little bit like you are reading on how to be a salesmen. He uses many articles and historical lessons to illustrate his point. I would suggest this to any missionary or ministry who is having difficulties finding a system to help bring in a bigger partnership.
